Bad Stick of TWIN2X4096-6400C5

Hello,

I purchased another set of the 4GB (2 x 2GB) Dual Channel Ram in order to match the 4GB I already had of the same model in my machine for a total of 8GB.

Everything worked perfectly for about a day, but yesterday when I went to turn on my machine; all the fans will spin but nothing would come up on the display. I took out each of my ram sticks (new and old) and put them back in 1 by 1 in order to determine if anything was defective.

What I realized was that 1 particular ram stick (new one) would cause the computer not to boot, no matter if it was the only stick or part of the group.

Does this mean this particular stick is faulty? Is this covered under warranty?

Thanks in advance. ::pirate::

We need a bit more information to be sure. Please list your complete system specifications in your dropdown menu as requested at registration. Also, list all settings you have made in the BIOS for voltages, CPU, and RAM.

Thank you for the quick response. My PC specs has been updated. As for the voltages and such, they should all be on default settings as I am a computer noob and haven't touched them at all.
