hi everyone,

Yesterday I ordered all the parts i need from NewEgg for a new system.

but....

I might have got the RAM wrong. RAM wrong....say that 5 times fast !!!

Anyway, the problem here is that i'm gonna be using an Asus Rampage lll Extreme motherboard with a Intel core i7-930 cpu.

I ordered the following RAM:

Corsair XMS3 6GB (3x2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC 12800)

Model TR3X6G1600C7 G. That’s a “G” on the end.

But when i was looking today, i couldn't find that RAM on either Corsair's or Asus's site.

Why is that????

Is this memory not good for the motherboard i chose??? Please give me some info on this. Hate to have to send the memory back and wait for new memory to arrive but i would cause i don’t want to use inferior memory. I’m trying to build a nice system.

Thanks in advance for any information you can give me.

oh yeah, and what RAM would you choose for the above motherboard/cpu???

Danny

G is NOT part of the part number. TR3X6G1600C7 is indeed on Corsair's website: http://www.corsair.com/products/corei7/default.aspx

Definitely compatible. Just enable XMP and you're good to go.
