Corsair Force F120 AES encryption

Recommended Posts

according to the information on the SandForce webpage, the SandForce controller SF1200 supports AES encryption:

"The SF-1200 has built in AES-128 bit encryption controllable by a configurable user password. This feature prevents would-be thieves from extracting data directly from the flash memory should they ever have access to the drive."

Since the Corsair Force F120 has this controller, is it possible to protect the data on the SSD with a password, so that all data on the SSD are hardware-based AES-128 encrypted? That means that the data on the SSD can be only accesed with the password?

Thanks a lot.
