All-

I am getting kernel panics due to the memory whenever I have both sticks in my computer. If I limit to just one stick (2GB), everything works fine.

I've run memtest -- one stick at a time and it passes fine. I get no beeps upon boot -- everything appears to work -- until it crashes. ;)

Is this mobo not compatible with the memory? What else should I try?

Thanks in advance!

-Frank

You would need to enter the bios either the delete key or the f2 key and look under the motherboard intelligent tweaker. There should be more information under your motherboard manual.

I tried another 2x2GB sticks of memory (same make/model; I am building two identical systems) and put it in the machine and it works flawless. No kernel panics or issues running the same stress tests that before led to crashes.

So I guess memtest is not perfect ;( -- and despite passing memtest my original memory was bad. RamGuy, how do I go about getting and RMA?

Thanks,

Frank
