Asus P7P55D Deluxe and TR3X6G1600C9

Recommended Posts

I bought the 3x2GB RAM-kit from Corsair (Asus has this one TR3X6G1600C9 in his VQL for my board) and installed it correctly. While booting it detects only "4087MB OK" and in BIOS is also only 4GB shown.

In Windows (Win 7 64bit) it looks the same. In CPU-Z it displayes "Type: DDR3, Size: 6144MB, Channels#: Single, NB Frequency: 2405.1MHz, DRAM Frequency: about 668MHz" and ALL 3 RAM modules are detected correctly but it writes under max. bandwith "PC3-10700H (667 MHz)". The RAM are designed for 1600MHz, right? Any advice if there is a problem with the RAM or the board? Why is CPU-Z displaying all 3 modules with 6GB but BIOS and Windows (x64!) only 4GB?
