CMD4GX3M2B1600C8/CMP4GX3M2B1600C8 and BEMP

Hi guys,

 

I have two questions:

 

Firstly, what is the difference between CMD4GX3M2B1600C8 and CMP4GX3M2B1600C8?

 

It seems like P is rated for 1.5v according to Newegg. Which would offer better compatibility with AMD X6 Processors?

 

Secondly, with respect to BEMP, is it required that I use a BE processor, or can I use a processor with a locked multiplier, like the 1055t?

The D version is the standard Dominator. The P version is a newer version that has compatibility with future upgrade options. I cannot discuss these options at this time.

 

For the BEMP, check with AMD to be sure. Since BEMP = Black Edition Memory Profiles, I'm assuming you will need a BE CPU.

Thanks for the confirmation. I believe you are right in that BEMP requires a BE processor.

 

While the AMD Overdrive list may be outdated, I was wondering whether the CMD4GX3M2B1600C8/CMP4GX3M2B1600C8 has been tested for 1090t compatibility?
