Jezz006
My computer builder put in 6Gb Corsair Dominator DDR3 TR3X6G1600 C7 on an ASUS P6T Deluxe V2 LGA 1366 Motherboard and the Bios and Windows 7 64bit only recognize 4088Mb of the Ram. CPUZ recognizes the 6Gb of Ram installed, but swapping the sticks around and manually setting the timings and voltage in the Bios have not helped. My question is if this combination can be made to work by someone who understands the Bios better or whether I should swap them for the one's reccomended by Asus or Corsair and save myself a lot of hassle? Jezz006
As I posted the Bios records 4088 Mb of Ram which the Asus Tech Support people told me rules out the operating system as a problem.
Jezz006
I've just run MemTest and all 3 modules passed with no errors in the DIMM A1 Socket. However I noticed when replacing them that the module in the DIMM B1 socket was not being recognized, even when I swapped the modules around. The DIMM C1 socket is working bringing the recognized memeory to 4088Mb. So it would seem that there is something amiss with the Motherboard. Is this the correct solution or is there something else I that could be causing it? Yours in Appreciation, Jezz006
