socaljoe Posted April 8, 2010 Share Posted April 8, 2010 All the files/folders in my flash drive suddenly became read only. I'm not able to delete nor add any files. I was able to copy all the contents to my pc and tried to reformat it but failed due to the drive being read only. I downloaded the SDFormatter, but upon running it, I received a "Memory card is write-protected, Please release the write protect switch" message. This flash drive doesn't have a switch. I have tried reformatting this drive on several pc's (XP pro, windows 7) but with no luck...any ideas?....thanks Joe Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

jeremyj Posted April 9, 2010 Share Posted April 9, 2010 I'm experiencing the same thing with my Flash Voyager 8GB. I've attempted reformatting it on several different computers and OSes.
