Maxxxt
Hello, I did some searching, but could not find definitive answer. I purchased 2 sets of matched pair for a total of 4 x 1gb sticks 3 years ago. 1 stick has tested and verified bad. Warranty says to send 1 pair in. Is it possible to return all 4 sticks? It's not likely that the new pair will be same version and batch. I'm not trying to pull a fast one, these have been running at 4-4-4-12-2.1v for years now, and I just want to continue to do so. The sticks are ver2.1 and all serials are within 2 numbers of each other. Warranty claim would only allow 2 on the form. Please advise. Thank you!
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 8, 2010 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 8, 2010 Do you have a case number? And you would just select a quantity of 4 modules and send them all but please note that would not guarantee that both of the replacement sets would be matched. Maxxxt
Hi Ram Guy, My Case #1382599 I am guessing that the compatibility would be better if I received 2 matched sets back? I understand you cant match all 4, but I suppose that my best chance at compatibility at this point. Probably different chips and version numbers inside by now? thanks
Maxxxt
Just thinking what about 2 x 2gb low latency matched? Is that possible to get as replacement?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 8, 2010 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 8, 2010 I have changed the module quantity to 4 and I would strongly suggest you call in and find out from our customer service what the replacement would be.
