1sparky
This is my first post. I am looking for help. I have an nforce 790I Ultra SLI with BIOS version P08 Cm3X2048-1333C9DHX 9-9-9-24 1.70V ver3.2 Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 Dual Core Processor LGA775 3.16GHZ Wolfdale 1333FSB 6MB. I bought this computer in October 2008. I had some freezing (one every couple of months) where the computer would lock up. Can't mouse the mouse or use keyboard. Recently, the computer would start freeze within one minute of enter Windows XP SP3. I unable to use computer because of freezing. Right now I am using a second computer to write this information. I have tried using mem test. I still gets freezing when I test to one ram module. I have tried other module and still get freezing. I am trying to get computer stable so I can run mem test. I am looking for help with my computer freezing. Mark

1sparky
Hello RAM GUY, Thank you for your reply. I have this ram CM3X2048-1333C9DHX. On the RMA Form this ram isn't listed. Should I use this ram TW3X4G1333C9DHX part number instead. I guess the ram I have is a old version or outdated. When I RMA this old ram, would it be replaced with this ram TW3X4G1333C9DHX. I am thinking of getting more corsair ram. What would work with this new ram and the 790i ultra SLI motherboard. I'm thinking the ram would be in a different batch (set) and not the same batch (set) that is tested together. This is where I wouldn't know what to pick.
