WOLF
Dear Corsair Corporation. As a Corsair fan I have one request, so please give me the pleasure to see Corsair Dominator GT 12GB (3x4GB) DDR3 KIT with Corsair Airflow Fan (V2) on the market soon.:nodding: You see I was a happy owner of a Corsair Dominator GT 6GB Kit (TR3X6G2000C8GTF) (order number: 893018) once but unforgettably mine was among those that you in a good responsible manner redraw in prevention purpose. By that you make sign on as your regular customer, to not mention Mr Ram Guy that always answer mail in a good and professional manner. So now you know why "I'm hanging around by doorstep". Corsair engineers, give it a thought by the coffee table if it wouldn't be nice with a KIT of 3 x Corsair Dominator GT Ultra-High Performance 4GB DDR3 DIMM 240-pin Triple Channel Memory Modules for high-performance Intel® Core™ i7-980X & X58 chipset platforms. Yellowbeard
There's no way to validate 6 modules at one time at GTX frequencies. We won't be offering a kit at that speed anytime soon. You can try 6 of your own of course but we have not found any CPU at all that will run 6 up anywhere near that fast.
WOLF
Hi Yellowbeard. 6 modules? I'm sorry but i don't understand you really. My appeal was that Corsair would come out with Corsair Dominator GT 4GB Memory Modules x 3 in a KIT. I know I wrote GTX but I mean memory modules in Corsair Dominator GT style. The reason I like to have 3x4GB in a 12GB KIT is that i might upgrade to 24GB further on when i got more money. Corsair have a nice American Racing Blue 24GB KIT (CMD24GX3M6A1333C9) with 4GB memory modules, but NOT as 12GB KIT with 4GB memory modules. By the way, I don't have those Corsair Dominator GT (order number: 893018) memory's since Corsair toke them back as I said. I Thank you for your answer anyway. Regards, WOLF. Yellowbeard
I have not personally done any testing yet but, I don't think the newer ICs needed for 4GB modules are hitting the higher speeds. It may be a while before we see anything at DDR2000 in a 4GB module if we see it at all. Only 2GB modules will do it at this time which means 6 modules for 12GB. WOLF
Hi Yellowbeard. Corsair Dominator GT 4GB DDR3 Triple Channel Memory Modules in a 12GB KIT?! I would be satisfied with American Racing Blue Corsair Dominator 12GB (3x4GB) KIT DDR3 Triple Channel Memory with Airflow fan. I'm sorry, but I'm very fond of the GT design :-) Thank you! WOLF. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 16, 2010 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 16, 2010 As Specmike Stated the higher density IC's used to make 4 Gig modules are not hitting much above 1600 MHz ATM but that may change as new IC's come to market. But thank you for your suggestion. In addition the cost of a 12 Gig set using 3 4.0 Gig modules at this time would be about 2-3 times that of a set using 2.0 Gig modules. WOLF
Hi RAM GUY. Thank you so much for your answer. Well I can understand that as well. But concerning the 4.0 Gig modules I'm just thinking more of the 3 free DDR3 slots for further upgrades. I'm going to take me to your information very thoughtfully before taking a decision on the matter. WOLF.
WOLF
I have bean thinking and I can't take 2GB DDR3 Memory Modules, it say NO inside me and often that "voice" are right. ******** has 3x 4GB DDR3 Memory Modules in a KIT, but I stick to Corsair since they have bean good to me before so I'll be loyal and wait to see what comes out of the Corsair Dominator development line. http://files.colcol.net/200902/200902061421212172.pnghttp://www.postsmile.com/img/emotions/136.gif WOLF http://www.kolobok.us/smiles/artists/just_cuz/JC_ThankYou.gif
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 17, 2010 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 17, 2010 No problem, we look at new memory IC's every day so if something changes it will happen pretty quick.
