JakeGinnivan
I cannot find any information on this drive, but they are available and are in stock. Could you guys send me some information, like what controller this drive has, I am looking to purchase in the next week and if I cannot get more info the G.Skill Falcon is the one I will be getting. I hope you can provide info, because 3 of my colleagues are recommending the G.Skill and myself and two others I know are looking to buy asap. Cheers, Jake
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 12, 2010 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 12, 2010 I would suggest getting our Performance Series Drives they are widely available. And the information is posted on our web site.
JakeGinnivan
But based on the specs and available information these drives look like they are being positioned as a replacement for the existing lines. I think it is a bit odd that you release a product, it is in stores and i cannot find information on it and am told to buy an old model?
PNutts
And the information is posted on our web site. Is this in regard to the Reactor Series? If so, could you post a link? I am not able to find information on these drives on your site. Thx.
leexgx
think they are classed as lower speed models (think agility drives) but they be fast any way the Corsair S128 i have know looks Very poor spec wise but the system is a lot faster then my WD black HDD i was using before http://www.maximumpc.com/tags/Reactor or search for > Corsair Announces Two New Speedy < if modded
Wired
leexgx, why don't you just link to the article? http://www.maximumpc.com/article/news/corsair_announces_two_new_speedy_pricey_ssd_cards Also, I wouldn't recommend suggesting how to get around the filter, as if something WAS filtered, telling how to get around the filter would be against the rules :)
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 12, 2010 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 12, 2010 PNutts My reply was about P-Series drives which that information is published. The information on PReactor and NOVA series drives will be posted soon. And the resellers were not supposed to put them up for sale until the official announcement. So there is nothing I can do other than tell you its not available ATM.
PNutts
RAM GUY: I thought that might be the case but I wanted to ask so I understood. Thx for the reply.
mattspalace
A lot of speculation that the new Reactor line is using JMicron's new 612 controller with 128MB of cache. Adata has a model out with the same controller - the S596
hcforde
The R60 might be a good candidate for the jmicron because of the low write speeds (110MB/s) in comparison to the R120(170MB/s). To me that seems to be a huge difference to be caused by just the difference in drive capacity. Also I bought an R60 and there is no documentation in the box whatsoever-STRANGE. EL-Paso
And the resellers were not supposed to put them up for sale until the official announcement. So there is nothing I can do other than tell you its not available ATM. So way did Corsair deliver them if they was not supposed to be out? Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 16, 2010 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 16, 2010 I have already stated they were not supposed to be released until the announcement. That is the only information I have. Sorry!
