vedhead
Ahoy! So, I just setup a new system and am not too familiar with this stuff, but I got CPU-Z and noticed that it looks like my memory timings are off...just wondering if any one had any advice as to what I should do. When I installed, the ram was running at 666.7 mhz, so I went into the bios and set it at 1600 and changed the voltage to 1.65v...not sure if that was the proper way to do it  Thanks for your help! Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 8, 2010 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 8, 2010 With that CPU the fastest you could run the memory would be DDR1066 with out over clocking but you are welcome to try any thing you like. I would suggest DDR1066 at 1.7 Volts Cas 8-8-8-24 2T Command Rate.
vedhead
Thanks for the suggestion. I made those changes (but my bios wouldn't let me change the tRAS to 24). Here is what I get now...is this better? (I upped the voltage to 1.7v, but there is no image of that) http://fearedandloathed.com/Images/memory/a.PNG http://fearedandloathed.com/Images/memory/b.PNG
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 9, 2010 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 9, 2010 You can try and set the timings to Cas 7-7-7-20 and just test it with with http://www.memtest.org and make sure its stable.
