THE Nemesis
Hi, received my 2x2GB DDR3 1600 Dominator ram and have just read on here that my CPU "AMD 965BE" at stock is 1333? I read that it needs to be overclocked to be able to use the option of 1600, I attempted to just raise the bus so i got 3.8Ghz but as soon as i select 1600 i get BSOD. what sort of overclock would i need to get to utilise the 1600 that my ram is capable of? without melting it :) thanks
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 8, 2010 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 8, 2010 When over clocking the CPU you would need to set the memory frequency to DDR1066 or DDR1333 and as you over clock the CPU it will raise the memory frequency automatically.
