Thailand
I just recently purchased a P-256 SSD for my new build. How do I determine the current firmware being used by this device? I am looking for the revision VBM19C1Q, which I hope is already installed to support TRIM. I am using Windows 7 Professional on an EVGA X58 motherboard with an i7 975 processor. Thank you. Psycho101
Best way is to use Crystal Disk Mark. The FW revision will be shown on the main window. You can also dig around in the device properties section for the drive in Device Manager.

Yellowbeard
The firmware flash tool itself will tell you also. If the drive has the old firmware, of course it will flash it. If it has the new, it will simply tell you it does not need flashing.

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 16, 2010 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 16, 2010 According to that information you have a X-Series Drive and there is no firmware update for that drive at this time. Only our P-Series drives have a firmware update at this time.
