Bun-Bun
Hello, I hope this is the right place to post this. I am need of RMA'ing some bad ram. I intalled this corsair RAM about a year ago and it worked fine up until last week. Symptoms are system hanges on boot during DET DRAM (board is first Striker Extreme with the LCD on the back). Pulling out one stick and system boots succesfully. Swap sticks and it gets to DET DRAM and screen goes all garbly. Try that stick in any slot and it does the same thing. Other stick in and I boot into memtest86+ and it goes 24+ hours stable. PSU and other components check out fine. So my conclusion is one bad stick. I am at work and am trying to find the exact modules they are... I know its CAS4 2.1 PC2-6400 and I have it manually set to 800Mhz CAS4 (4-4-12 I think?) and 2.00v (over volts .1v) in the bios. Thank you. EDIT: The ram PN is TWIN2X2048-6400C4
