Hondabuff
Here is my set up in a Lian Li PC-7FW case. I used a 5" hole saw and a 140mm 1200rpm Lian Li Red Fan as a exhaust. The Ram cooler, North Bridge Fan and the Corsair H50 Blow right out the exhaust at the top. The thermal paste is way to much and I cleaned it off and applied a rice size of Arctic Silver 5 and the highest temp I have seen is 55*C under heavy gaming. The Video card is so big it broke the case into 2 thermal zones. Bottom zone has a 140mm 900rpm intake fan and the GPU fan and PSU as a exhaust. http://i566.photobucket.com/albums/ss106/hondabuff/DSCN0330.jpg http://i566.photobucket.com/albums/ss106/hondabuff/DSCN0337.jpg http://i566.photobucket.com/albums/ss106/hondabuff/DSCN0573-1.jpg http://i566.photobucket.com/albums/ss106/hondabuff/DSCN0593.jpg http://i566.photobucket.com/albums/ss106/hondabuff/DSCN0590-1.jpg http://i566.photobucket.com/albums/ss106/hondabuff/DSCN0587-1.jpg http://i566.photobucket.com/albums/ss106/hondabuff/fft.jpg
Yellowbeard
Hondabuff, I copied your post over to this thread. Nice clean work on the case mod to get the H50 set up. ::pirate::
Hondabuff
If anyone wants to Know, I used a 5" hole saw from Home Depot and Cstrip molding from FrozenCPU. Also used the heavy Duty Fan grommets and Black 140mm Grill. Found some cool allen screws from Ace hardware to mount it.
