Brenus68
Hi all, In first time sorry for my English, i'm French. -I have a problem to boot my PC when a put 4 sticks (4x1go) of twin2x2048-8500C5D, i have just a black screen, my fan and HDD work. -If i just put 3 sticks the system boot normaly. -I tested the 4 sticks with memtest and i have no error detected. -My 4 slot dimm work great (tested with many position of sticks) -my bios setting are all fixed (5 5 5 15 at 2.1v ,NB 1.30V) -I have try to downcloak frequency to 800mhz and 667mhz with timing fixed. revision of the first kit are 1.5 and the second 4.3, it's the only difference. But the system work great with 1stick of r1.5, and 2 stick of r4.3. or 1stick of r4.3 et 2stick of r1.5. I deduce they are compatible. I have the same probleme on my P5Q-E (latest bios) and my P5B-SE. thanks you for helping me.

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 26, 2010 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 26, 2010 When using 2 TWIN sets together, it is possible that you could run into a limitation on the chipset. Set the memory voltage to 2.1 and the memory timings to 5-5-5-15 manually. Then I would try to drop the memory frequency to 800MHz to cut the memory controller some slack and allow it to keep up with the memory.
