david_h
I'm trying to use the CMFSSD-32D1 x32 'extreme' on a system but it's not recognised by the Award-Phoenix BIOS. (However, the system works fine with a Corsair CMFSSD-64GBG2D 'Performance' and also with a CMFSSD-32N1! Other brands of SSD work fine too) I have tried the drive in a different system and it works OK, just not in this system. I have tried other SATA ports. I have tried switching the BIOS between AHCI and IDE modes to no avail. Why does this Indilinx based Corsair SSD not want to work but other Indilinx Corsair SSD's do? david_h
I should add that I have tried a number of CMFSSG-32D1's and they all exhibit the same problem-not recognised by the BIOS. :[pouts:

david_h
Hi I have a number of these drives, all with the same part number, all of which aren't recognised in the BIOS. However, all are recognised by a different system so I don't think the drives are faulty, unless there's some sort of batch issue?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 26, 2010 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 26, 2010 I would agree if they work on another system there may be an issue with that MB or system, what is the make and model of MB that is not detecting the drive? david_h
Done some further investigation and it appears to be connector related. I have compared the connectors on a 32Gb SSD with those on a 64Gb one and the pins on the connector certainly appear fractionally shorter on the 32Gb one. I shall carry on with my experiments..
