DistortedVision
I am looking to get another Corsair Value Select 1GB PC3200 DDR Memory VS1GB400C3 to match my existing stick. I found this on eBay: http://img686.imageshack.us/img686/6843/bjuq7q2kkgrhquokj0esneb.jpg Is there any way to tell from the serial numbers if it will match my stick: http://img693.imageshack.us/img693/3403/21012010047.jpg Many thanks! Synthohol
a matching pair is sold as such. its usually a gamble mixing sticks from different packages. good luck.
RJLeong65
a matching pair is sold as such. its usually a gamble mixing sticks from different packages. good luck. Very true. The module that the OP already has is actually newer production than the module that's pictured on that eBay auction site. And it is very likely that two random modules - even with the same model/part number - manufactured more than two years apart will use completely different IC chips with electrical characteristics that are different enough to cause stability issues when the two are being mixed together in the same system.
