ruquick77
Hello everyone I received my memory back from Corsair from my RMA and now I need to reset the BIOS but I don't remember how I had it. I know it says 5-5-5-15 T2 for my memory but I have lots of settings in the BIOS and don't remember which ones to change. Is this right and what about (tRC)? CAS (cl) 5 RAS to CAS Delay (tRCD) 5 RAS Precharge (tRP) 5 Cycle time (tRAS) 15 Bank Cycle Time (tRC) ? Thanks for any help
Yellowbeard
Leave tRC at the default/AUTO settings. You only need to set the voltage and the 5-5-5-15 2T timings.

Ok I set the voltage to 2.1v times to 5-5-5-15 2T and when I save and exit out of bios my computer just keeps rebooting.
ruquick77
Do i need RMA this memory I just got or what? Its not running at the speeds it should, computer will not boot all the way into windows and I get a blue screen. If i leave the memory at 800 and not 1066 and the default settings on the times the computer works.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 22, 2010 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 22, 2010 If you are having similar issues to what you had with the original modules it may be something else causing the issue. I would recommend setting the memory back to 1066MHz with only one stick in the motherboard and running memtest on each stick individually to see if they both pass. If they pass try booting each stick into Windows individually to see if they will both go in.
Yellowbeard
You can try an RMA if you like. However, based on what you have posted the issue is not the memory. So, an RMA of the memory won't fix the problem.

chunkII123
The timings per the EPP Spec is as follows: 5-5-5-15-22-2T The only setting you're missing from your list is the tRC of 22. On a side note, the tRFC for this ram seems to be 52ns - per rail 0-3, or 0-1; just dependent upon how many slots you have.:sunglasse:sunglasse
