TWIN2X4096-6400C4DHX and Asus P5kC

Recommended Posts

Hi all i'm new in this forum. Sorry for my bad english but is not my first language.

I have TWIN2X4096-6400C4DHX memory sticks that should work at CL4-4-4-12 at 2.1v but my motherboard sets them at cl5-5-5-18 at 1.8v

When i turn those parameters to 4-4-4-12 and voltage 2.1v manually my pc crashes after the bios post process with errors like "checksum error" or "boot file not found". I use windows 7 64bit, but this error appears also in windows xp and vista 32 bit. Now i set all to default. I have the latest bios.

Anybody can help me please?

EDIT: I have an asus p5kc

I would test the modules one at a time in the slot closest to the CPU to see if you can isolate a failing memory module. If one of the modules fails and the other works, then we will need to replace both of them for you. However, if you get errors with both of them, that would usually suggest some other problem.
