Hello guys!

I'm about to buy a Gigabyte GA-MA790XT-UD4P and an AMD PhenomII X4 965 BE (C3 stepping) and since i had compatibility issues between 8 gb CM3X2G1600C9DHX and my P5Q3, i want to know in advance i'm gonna have the same issues with this new motherboard. on the p5q3 i had to underclock my ram at 1333mhz and i don't want to do that with my new motherboard too.

Your help will be very appreciated

When using 2 sets together, it is possible that you could run into a limitation on the CPU memory controller, and to get the system to stabilize when using all four modules together. Option one is to drop the memory frequency to the next slower level to cut the memory controller some slack and allow it to keep up with the memory. Most likely you will need to run the memory at the same 1333MHz speed seeing as the memory relies more on the CPU than the motherboard.
