Zizzman
My two P128 replacement drives arrived after quite a delay. The firmware on the drives indicated VBM18C1Q and support could not confirm if the replacement drives were updated. I then went on one bad trip getting the drives to flash. Apparently Asus X58 and EVGA 690i and 790i motherboards don't play nice with the flash utility. I finally found an Intel box at work with SATA support and was able to perform the flash... only to find out that it was "not necessary to update this drive". Overall, I am happy about all the help I got from Ram Guy et al. Once again I have felt the pain of living on the bleeding edge of hardware. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 13, 2010 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 13, 2010 I am sorry that you had to go through all that but at least you have the latest Firmware now and you know you have it.
Zizzman
Now I just read in a thread that TRIM does not work in Raid 0. This isn't mentioned in FAQs, how to set up ssd raid o or raid 0 performance stickies. Kinda disappointing if true.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 13, 2010 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 13, 2010 TRIM is will not function on any drive when using them in RAID if the controller does not pass the command through.
