Asus P7P55D Pro Only reading 1.99 gig available memory, when 4.00 gig is installed.

Hello,

 

I have just upgraded my computer to an Asus P7P55D Pro M/B and Intel I5 750 Processor, with Corsair CMX4GX3M2A1600C8 2x2gig installed and when I go to "system" in Windows 7... it says " Installed memory (RAM): 4.00 GB (1.99 GB usable). Does this mean that one of my sticks of ram is not working? Please help????

I have the same problem but with a differente motherboard a Gigabyte P55A-UD4P and 2X2GB of CMX4GX3M2A1600C9. All I could find using google is a lot of people having problems with the P55 motherboards, and no logical explanations so far like the Troubleshooting Thread for Incorrect Memory Amounts on X58 Platforms thread.

 

Any luck with this issue?
