Cadencia
I've moved my X256 around a bit, swapping from controller to controller, and configuring as RAID (single disk) and AHCI, and trying different drivers. In case anyone is interested, here's what I know so far. The absolute worst performance is using the Gigabyte GBB36X controller (really Jmicron 36x). Even when the controller was configured for normal AHCI (not RAID) crystal disk info still couldn't see the disk. The absolute best performance is with the SSD attached to the AMD SB750 controller as an AHCI device, and using the Microsoft driver as shipped with win7. Actually, I got more throughput by disabling system recovery, but I like to have that enabled. ATTO benchmarks attached, plus Crystal disk info.
