Which memory for Intel D865PERL?

I have a Intel D865PERL Pentium 4 CPU 2.8 GHz that I would like to upgrade the memory to 2 GB. I have in it two Corsair CMX512-3200C2 (512MB) sticks

I have two choices:

1) Corsair CMC2GX1M2A400C3 (2 x 1GB)

2) Corsair VS2GBKIT400C3 (2x 1GB)

The memory needs to be: non ECC, unbuffered, SPD and 184 pin DDR SDRAM.

Have any ideas which memory should I pick?

I would like to look at TWINX2048-3200C2PT, which has been suggested before for this mother board. But I can't find any for sale.

Thanks.

I did what you said. I unistalled the RAM, reset the CMOS by taking the battery and waiting for about an hour. Then I installed one of the Corsair XMS memory sticks in the slot next to the CPU, but nothing happened, it didn't post and it was impossible to access the CMOS menu, not even with the jumper on the MB. Of course, I re-installed the old memory and I had no problems.

For more reference, there is a sticker on the memory stick that says:

CMC2GX1M2A400C3

XMS3200v8.1

112504316

XMS3200 1024MB 400MHz 3-3-3-8

Cheers,

Santiago

Did you try either module one at a time, and just removing the battery may not clear the BIOS there should be a jumper on the MB to force the reset, just remove the power and the battery then clear it and try them one at a time.

By the way if you did not have to reset the date and time then the BIOS was not reset.
