cartel Posted January 1, 2010 Share Posted January 1, 2010 I just bought a 950W corsair to replace my enermax 465. COD 5 WAW crashes now all the time with corrupt display. I have been going crazy trying to figure this out. Could it be the Corsair 950? I paid alot of money for this unit and had to drive 100 miles to go to NCIX and buy it. Synthohol Posted January 1, 2010 Share Posted January 1, 2010 two 75W 6-pin PCI Express® power connectors is the GPU card's requirement but the tx950 only has 78 amps on a single 12v rail shared with everything else. http://www.corsair.com/products/tx950/default.aspx i dont know if thats the problem because the 465 only had 20 amps on the 12v rail. but i checked out the corsair PSUs tested on the card. http://ati.amd.com/products/certified/powersupplies.html#pstop they recommend the hx1000 or tx750 for your card if i read it right. the 950 is not on the list (yet?) GotNoRice Posted January 1, 2010 Share Posted January 1, 2010 Hmmmm, another user having issues with the TX950W on an Asus board? This is a bit more than a coincidence at this point. Though you are the first I've seen to have problems with an AMD Asus board, the others on this forum that have reported issues are all running Core2 or i7 based Asus boards.
