Lena
Hi, I made a bootable DOS USB drive copied DSRD folder and autoexec to root. The update tool started and scanned for connected drives, but none were found. I tried AHCI, IDE and RAID mode, used first SATA port, disconnected all other SATA drives without any change. Still no drives found. PS: I using CMFSSD-64NI drive and just wanna update, because drive got slow after half a year use. Regards, Lena
Yellowbeard
Can you try it in a different system?
Lena
Hi, sorry, no other system available. I have another system, but it´s too old to boot from usb drives. Besides, what´s that USB port on SSD for? I always thought firmware update will be done on Windows platform with SSD connected to USB. Would be much easier. Wired
??? USB port? Are you trying to use the Performance series firmware upgrade on a Legacy series drive?
Lena
Hi, no, SSD is connected to SATA. I´m just wondering what´s that USB port is for? Regards, Lena
Wired
Lena: CMFSSD-64N1 is part of the Legacy SSD series. Is this the drive you are attempting to update? If so, the only firmware Corsair has released is NOT for that series. BTW, not sure if that's really a USB port or not. May be something just for the factory:
Lena
@Wired: thats correct, device manager in XP says CMFSSD-64N1 and the label on the drive itself M64. So for mine there´s no update available? Sorry, the next time I´ll gonna check that before. Regards, Lena
