radiatorscrew
So, I just got a H50 and immediately misread the instructions and put 4 screws through the 4 holes in the radiator (went from one side to the other). I assume this will cause the unit to leak and become ineffective very quickly or possibly even destroy my components as it leaks. I have small pieces of radiator in a pile... Should I worry? What can I do to get a replacement other than buying a new one? Thanks in advance. PS, yes I know it's almost funny if it weren't me...
Wired
You can try to Request an RMA and see what they say, but you're probably out of luck.
quyeno
how you made that mistake i dont know since when you add a 25mm thick fan there is only about 4mm tops of thread left! Anyways I think you'll be fine as i imagine you have screwed through the radiator thins and not the heat pipes. If you had damaged the heat pipes you would have known by now with a leak. I don't think it will affect the performance very much if at all.
SportedWood
^x2 if you did screw through where there is actual "flow" then you would already know. You prob just ate up/bent up some of the fins to cool the radiator, I wouldn't worry one bit but maybe try a RMA just for peace of mind.

Synthohol
a replacement BIX is like 30 bucks unless Corsair sells loose parts? dont feel too bad, i overtightened a CPU waterblock once and snapped a 200.00 board. oops. it happens. fwiw if it doesn't leak its rare it will. run it outside the case for a few days, if no leakee you good to go:):
