lusmart
HI, MY RAM :TW3X4G1600C9DHX In windows I get Max Bandwidth of PC3-8500F and 7-7-7-20 timings in CPU-Z. Memory Modules version is v9.1 What should I do? Should I send it back to the reseller I bought from? Regards!
Wired
IGNORE the SPD tab. It only contains static settings. You need to OC / manually set the speed to hit 1600.
lusmart
when I set the speed to hit 1600(200*8),also get Max Bandwidth of PC3-8500F and 7-7-7-20 timings in CPU-Z.
Wired
Your album is not meant for thread pics. Please attach pics directly to the post itself next time. Like I said, IGNORE the SPD tab. Those settings NEVER CHANGE. It is NOT indicative of actual settings. That is what the MEMORY tab is for. Looks like you still need to change the memory timings and presumably the memory voltage, all of which is on the memory label itself.

I still don't know how to set the BIOS.
lusmart
I also try to overclock it using 1.8V and 9-9-9-24 timing settings ,the cpu-z spd show 1.5v,the problem is the same as before.I am very disappointed with this product.
Wired
LUSMART stop looking at the SPD tab! That information WILL NEVER CHANGE. It does NOT REFLECT your BIOS. It's like looking at a poster of the desert when you're in Antartica and assuming it's warm and toasty outside.
lusmart
thanks! I have 2 questions: 1.If the cpu-z SPD is wrong ,EVEREST show the same info, why? 2.which soft can test the ram correctly?or we can not distinguish if it is fake. Wired
Because if you look at what that screenshot is of, it's... THE SPD INFORMATION. That's why it's highlighted on the left side menu. You keep looking at the SPD information instead of the MEMORY information. STOP. Again, the SPD is static information that never changes and because of this, it does not reflect what the BIOS is set to at any given moment. You can set the BIOS to SPD settings if you so choose, but the SPD settings may not be the rated specs. In your case, they definitely do not, however XMP would be set to the correct settings. Also, as I stated before, please STOP adding pictures meant for posts into your album. They will NOT show up for other posters. Use Memtest86+ v4.00 to test your memory, but are you having any issues with the memory? Why do you think it may be fake?
Yellowbeard
Lusmart, we seem to have a problem communicating here. Do you know what SPD is? Wired has answered your questions. Your memory is not fake. Your memory is operating at 1600.
