LegionnaireZ
Hi, I've had the VS4GSDSKIT800D2 set installed for about 4-5 days now and am noticing more freezing issues than before with the factory 2 Gb ram installed, I used the compatibility guide when picking the ram, then bought the kit from N.E. (not sure if against the rules to post name). Since then i've noticed when simply surfing the net the PC will lock up forcing me to reboot to recover. (no CTRL+ALT+DEL for recovery). I'm curious if the mem timing has anything to do with it. Corsair's Mem selector shows a timing of 5-5-5-15, and i have this one: VS4GSDSKIT800D2 @ 5-5-5-18 Could be my honest mistake. Need to know if its a big factor though.
Wired
Guaranteed-Compatible Memory for your Dell Vostro 2510 VS4GSDSKIT800D2 isn't listed for that laptop. On the other hand, it isn't listed for ANY system. I'll try to get that fixed. Small timing difference shouldn't cause an issue like that. Then again, it's an OEM system, so who knows. Wired
Right now there's no proof that it's even compatible. I'd wait for clarification on that first.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 8, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 8, 2009 I am sorry but that part is not listed for your system I would ask the reseller if they can take those modules back and get the suggested part for your system IE VS4GSDSKIT667D2.
