DonD
I have 2 sets of TWIN2X2048-6400C4D for a total of 4G in 4 matched sticks of ram. The computer suddenly would not boot and would not even POST. I could hear it starting and fans running but the screen stayed black. System is not overclocked. Ram has been fine for a couple of years. I diagnosed it by checking all other parts (video card, sound card, etc) and finally taking out one set of ram and succesfully booting and then swapping for the other set which failed to boot. I repeated this several times with the results always the same - one set of ram would work and the other wouldn't. My only concern is that since this is an out of production part and I have two pair of matched sticks, when I RMA the bad sets will I be assured of getting the same part number as a replacement? I'd like to keep all 4 sticks matched. Or should I return all 4 to get a set of 4 matched replacements? Thanks, Don

Wired
They can approve an RMA right through that form. Forum's more for troubleshooting help, but since you've already done that... RMA time :)
DonD
OK - thanks. The form sounded like I actually needed to refer to a specific post from Ramguy. I'll go ahead and enter it now. Thanks again. Don
