Differences beetween CMD4GX3M2A1600C8 & CMD4GX3M2B1600C8

Recommended Posts

I just built a configuration with Asus P7D55D and core i5.

The fact is that i bought a CMD4GX3M2B1600C8 memory kit.

I then discovered that there is 2 identical version of this kit, with only a letter change in the reference.

according to corsair site CMD4GX3M2B1600C8 is recommended for AMD phenom, and CMD4GX3M2A1600C8 recommended for intel i5/i7...

what are the main differences beetween these 2 identical modules ?

Should i expect stability and compatibility issues for my system ? as i got the "phenom recommended one" ?

thanks for your answers..

Hello guys !

I would want a clear answer to that question too.

From the specs available on this very site, I get that the only difference between the A & B types are the performance profiles embedded in the modules, i.e. XMP vs BEMP, respectively.

How much of a difference does that make ? Will a P55 motherboard be able to read the BEMP performance profile ?
