jokn
I installed TW3X4G1333C9A on the mobo, and experienced continuous freezes with Win 7. Both sticks check out separately with memtest, and with just one stick installed the system runs fine. The only way (so far) I can get the system to stabilize with both sticks, in dual channel, is by manually setting the DRAM freq to 1066 in the BIOS. Am I getting sub-optimal peformance this way? Could/should I manually change the voltages and timings in the BIOS? Thsi is my first ever system build, and I'm a little bit hesitant to poke around the BIOS... Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 30, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 30, 2009 Yes just set the memory Voltage to 1.65 Volts and set the memory frequency at DDR1333 should be all you need t do but check for the latest BIOS as well. jokn
Thanks a bunch ram guy! The BIOS was up-to-date, but I set the voltage and the freq like you said, and the machine's been running solid all day, including abou an hour of Prime95. Yay!
