kksdec02
This is a question directed to RAMGUY and other forum regulars like Davyc. Please dont make this a 'we want updates' spam thread. Based on the specs attached below, I would like to know your opinion, when should I do a secure erase and quick format (aka , wait for them to drop a little more or do it rite now)? I basically run a lot of heavy duty engineering simulations on my system and nothing else (well, there's also l4d ...:D:) Also, it appears that I have the new, 'self-healing' firmware. What should i do to activate the feature? Cold boot and never log on for some time?? http://img688.imageshack.us/img688/347/systemspecsj.jpg
Davyc
Your numbers look good, how long have you had the drive running for? To implement the performance recovery feature in your drive start your system from cold (i.e. not a restart) and once you get to your desktop log off and leave your computer alone for a while; best to do this when you're at the end of your day and leave it overnight, you should get to about 80% of fresh :-)
