ceefna
Hi everybody, having built many computers in the past I am hoping one of you may be able to help with this issue. My new build pc is totally unstable with the Corsair CMX4GX3M2A1600C9 4gb kit fitted, kept hanging on windows startup screen during install and then randomly freezing/rebooting during software instalation. Am certain this is a memory issue as I have fitted 1 stick of Corsair TR3X6G1600C7 I had spare and the machine is perfectly stable(ran super pi 12 hours no errors). The motherboard is a gigabyte GA-P55-UD2 which I have the latest F4 bios (increased memory compatability) I have tried every bios setting and set voltage to 1.65v but still unstable. Can't understand why the RAM doesn't work as it is designed for i5/i7 cpu's. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Regards Ceefna
NigelR
Hi Ceefna, see posts.. http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=83029 http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=82878 You could try setting the speed to 1066mhz and it will probably run, (133X8). This memory does not seem to work well with the ga-55m-ud2/4 boards. NigelR
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 24, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 24, 2009 What is the wattage of your power supply? Have you tried setting the DDR voltage to 1.6 manually?
