Gigabyte GA-P55M-UD2 and TW3X4G1333C9

Recommended Posts

I have setup a system w GA-P55M-UD2 mobo and 4 x TW3X4G1333C9. I'm not able to POST - the system starts for few seconds, but then shuts down.

- I have checked the cables

- I took off the CMOS battery for 10+ mins

- I have tried with just one memory block (all blocks, one at a time)

- Heatsink's fan is spinning normally and seems to be installed ok

I noticed this memory is not officially suppported with this mobo. Any changes it would work?

Any suggestions?

Guyzie's advice is good.

I was also having very frequent system freezes (check my system specs, Mobo and Memory combination is the same) and the only way to get things working normally was to lower frequency to 1066 MHz.

It is not ideal but at least the system remains stable (in my case). I think this particular Mobo (Gigabyte P55M-UD2) is very picky on RAM or its "auto" settings are not good. Too bad, as it would be nice to run memory modules at their rated speed.
