p128 loses connection during Win 7 x64 installl

I am trying to install Win 7 x64 on a supermicro x8dth motherboard with a CMFSSD-128GB2D boot drive. Install will halt at various points with corrupted file or drive not found errors. Upon returning to the windows install screen the p128 wil have disappeared from the available install drives. On soft reboot, the p128 will have disappeared from bios. Drive will reappear after hard reboot (sometimes requires several reboots).

 

I have tried to re-install 8-10 times with different bios settings (including fail-safe mode) and different ports without success. I have updated the motherboard firmware. I have no trouble installing to a conventional HD and have been using that for the last week without problem and all other hardware functions normally.
