Faogre
Hello I have my computer for a year now, 1 month ago my computer froze up on me, I rebooted it and it froze after the boot sequence when the window vista logo showed up, I did a few test noting, I have 2 twin ram Corsair DDR3 XMS3 1024g each. I removed a pair and the computer worked fine, I removed them and put the other and the computer worked fine, I installed all 4 the computer froze, After I tried to put a twin in the orange slot worked fine, I put the same twin in the black slot worked fine, I did the same thing with the other 2 all fine but again if I put all 4 the computer freezes. I did check my setting all fine Help me
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 11, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 11, 2009 With 4 modules I would suggest setting the memory frequency at DDR1066 or DDR1333 and set the memory Voltage to 1.7-1.90 Volts and set the NB/MCH/SPP Voltage to +.2 Volts as well and test the system with http://www.memtest.org. In addition, with some MB's (Mostly ASUS) you have to disable legacy USB in the bios when running any memory test.
