drkCrix
Good morning, Having some trouble with my ram and getting it to run at full speed. If I set it to 1066(timings are 5-5-515 and voltage set to 2.1v) The system will boot run for a bit, then shut down. I have run memtest on it and have not seen any errors coming up. When I set the memory to 800 the system runs flawlessly. Now I had been able to get it running with my X4 940 CPU (cooled by Zalman CNPS) without issue, but since I changed to a X4 965 (cooled by Thermalright) I have run into these issues. Would over tightening the heat sink cause issues like this? Or is it something else? The setting that I am thinking will help with this situation are: CPU/NB Voltage HT Voltage NB Voltage I am just unsure as to what values to use. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 17, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 17, 2009 That seems to be a common problem with that CPU and MB, please set the memory frequency at DDR800 and leave the timings at AUTO and set the memory Voltage to 2.1 Volts and if its stable you can over clock the CPU to get more out of the system.
