Wired
The only way you could burn anything is if you overvolt it, and the voltages are right on the label. All you should have to do is to set the XMP and you're set to go. If you want to do it manually the settings are on the label. Do you have 2 kits of CMG6GX3M3A2000C8? Note that since they're not sold together they can't guarantee them at rated specs together, not to mention that max speed + max sticks is A LOT of stress on the i7 memory controller. Wired
You can run 12 GB just fine on X58 systems, but like all systems before it mixing memory is never recommended. 1.65v should be available. What does your motherboard manual say?

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 11, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 11, 2009 With one set of modules, just load setup defaults and enable XMP Profile one should be all you need to set, but if you install more than one set I would suggest you limit the memory frequency to the next lower speed grade or DDR1333 or DDR1600 depending on the specific CPU you use. dassakjo
you are saying that i only have to do is put ram in and by settings xmp setting that module get is his own speed 2000 mhz 8 8 8 24 ?????
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 12, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 12, 2009 I think that the answer to your last question would be yes, ;): But just try what I suggested and see if it works.

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 13, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 13, 2009 I have already explained that previously it is not supported mixing memory and there is more loading on the chipset with more modules installed and they will not over clock as high when fully loaded. dassakjo
i am not mixing any chips it is the same corsair 2000 mhz mem how come i can not get any result or wat sould i do
Wired
He's talking about mixing any two kits together. Since they have not been tested or sold together in the same package, they can't guarantee how they'd work together. Aside from that maxing out the ram slots and an extremely high memory rate places a very large load on the memory controller. It's very possible that it can't handle it and as such you'll need to underclock the memory for overall stability.
