batmeat
I finally fixed my performance issue with my 2 P128's in Raid 0. Here is the latest result. Very nice. The issue was with my Win7 Dvd having one little smudge half the size of a hard drive jumper. Took me all night to figure it out. Guess I should have turned the lights on. Question: I just installed a 60Gb Sata drive to offload all tmp files used by the O/S and web browser to prevent needless read/writes to my SSD's. Should I still look at considering the 'X' series drives for raid for 'Trim' and 'Self Healing' support over the 'P' series?
NfiniteZERO
The P-series will be getting TRIM support, as well as the X-series. RAM GUY and Corsair's PR have relayed that through many channels. The P-series does have self healing firmware on it if you have the right version (check the FAQ). RAM GUY and his gang are trying to get the firmware to us in the trenches so be patient. The problem after that is getting the TRIM support for the RAID controllers on the market, but that's a different bridge to burn completely. Going for the X-series will bump up your read and (I think) write speeds should remain about the same. Not too big of a deal, so I'd save my money. tI2ouI3LeSoIVIe
Samsung is supposedly working on a "TRIM" support solution, with the results you're getting and the stability I'm assuming you're having, leave em alone! What was your Windows Experience Index for the drives? I'd recommend imaging your array if the install is clean and you're happy. I've had great luck with Acronis True Image 2010. The results look great, just what you should be at. :)
batmeat
Windows Experience Index rated the drives at 7.9. I'm sure if the ratings could go higher then I would have a higher score. I'll image the drives on a backup. Thanks
tI2ouI3LeSoIVIe
Wow 7.9, I guess the P128s assess better than the X128s even though the X128s have slightly better ATTO marks.
