pucci821
I have a Acer Ferrari 4000 with a seagate 44 pin hard drive and wanted to upgrade to a ssd for some better proformance. I dont see many options with converters for sata to 44 pin so my question is "I'm I stuck with this old hardware or can I upgrade to this new technology" Any help would be grateful, Thanks
Davyc
Your computer uses the Ultra ATA/100 connection - I doubt very much that you will get an SSD to run on this machine as it uses a SATA connection; preferably SATA 2 to get the best from it. I would suggest that the money you will spend on a SSD be put towards a new computer with more up-to-date technology and then buy an SSD later if funds are restricted ATM ;-)
