MrBreeze Posted October 25, 2009 Share Posted October 25, 2009 I recently bought a VX550 Power Supply from CORSAIR and put together a new computer. After about 12 hours (not constantly on) after I had installed the os and was using the computer, the monitor went instantly black. It wouldn't turn back on and there was no light when I hit the power button. I have checked the CORSAIR website and did the paper clip test and it was unsuccessful. Hopefully the power supply is the only problem. So I was wondering if anybody else has any suggestions before I rma it. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Wired Posted October 25, 2009 Share Posted October 25, 2009 The monitor power light should come up one color or another regardless of the computer. Disconnect the monitor cable, see if the monitor power light come on at all when you hit the monitor power button. If it and the PSU are dead, I'm wondering if either the electrical socket is dead and/or something fried everything connected to it? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
