WolfieCA
Greetings, I have an HX1000W that was purchased in October of 2008 and has been humming along nicely ever since. Last week, I was working on the system when it unexpectedly shut down. Did the major troubleshooting steps and I have determined the HX1000W to be at fault. When disconnected from the motherboard and pins 13 & 14 (green to black) jumpered, I get no startup. Tried the HX1000 in another system with no luck, and my system boots up fine with another PSU attached. All roads seem to lead to a faulty HX1000W. Is this the proper route to request RMA action, or should I call in. Also, when returning, do I just send the PSU or do I need to send all the cables also. I'd hate to have to remove all the tedious routing of cable that I did. :sigh!: Thanks, Rich
Wired
Keep the cables and apply for an RMA whichever way is easier for you.

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 19, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 19, 2009 Keep the cables and apply for an RMA whichever way is easier for you. Let's get it replaced, please use the On Line RMA Request Form and we will be happy to replace it. Be sure to check the box that says “I've already spoken to Technical Support and/or RAM Guy.” We only need the PSU back, so you can keep your cables in your system.
