mfmcgins
I know this is an older post. I'm new here. I have a Velocity Micro system and had put the TWIN2X4096-6400C5C in, Their tech told me to set the voltage at 1.9 despite the label setting of 1.8. I did and it has worked all right over the past few weeks. I just upgraded to Windows 7 64 bit and added another set of memory cards, identical to the first. My computer told me to change the setting or it wouldn't be able to start during the power-up. I switched the votage to 1.8 and all is well. The system seems stable and responsive. Does this makes sense?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 17, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 17, 2009 With 4 modules I would suggest setting the memory frequency at DDR667 and set the memory Voltage to 2.0 Volts and set the NB/MCH/SPP Voltage to +.2 Volts as well and test the system with http://www.memtest.org. In addition, with some MB's (Mostly ASUS) you have to disable legacy USB in the bios when running any memory test.
