Extreme X64 DEAD

My Extreme X64 has died on me today. Not appearing in the BIOS and not working on a working set of cables.

Only 3 weeks old and registered for an RMA with Corsair. Hoping for a quick turn around, 2 hours ago and awaiting a response right now.

Bought from ebuyer and they don't want to know about the return.

I feel your pain. Another one of these, damn I wonder whats causing this to occur as this happened to my X 64 as well within hours - it just vanished and no listing in the BIOS. Put my WD 320 Scorpio Black in my laptop no issues. Drive was completely dead. It sounds to me the controller is failing which would prevent the BIOS from detecting the drive.

Mines at ebuyer right now, hoping for a replacment or a refund ASAP.

The reseller was fantastic, within 24 hours of recieving the item they test it, found it faulty as described and have refunded me the money.

Case closed :).

Pitty though as I liked the speed of the SSD, will have to think about getting a new one sometime.
