danja5485
Ever since I had upgraded my computer to this motherboard and memory combination my computer has been having problems with playing intense games. They just crash for no reason with no error message or anything and i get sent back to my desktop. So far I have replaced my sound card, video card with neither of them fixing the problem. The only 2 things left are motherboard and RAM. I called Asus tech support and they told me i need to get the exact recommended timings for the Dominator (TW3X4G1600C9D ram and the correct voltage, and then change that in the bios. I was wondering if someone could give me the correct timings and voltage in order to pass this information along to ASUS and hopefully fix my stability problems. Thank you. danja5485
My motherboard is not listed under the tested motherboards. ASUS said i needed specific timings that are just for my P5Q3 Deluxe motherboard. Also my memory is not the 1600C9DHX model ram, but the 1600C9D model. There is no HX at the end of my model number. Don't mean to be a pain, but I just want to get this over with and make sure I do it right so I can start playing some games :(.
Wired
D and DHX are irrelevant to the specs, and they're the same anyway. There shouldn't be anything else to do aside from setting the main timings and memory voltage. Everything else should be set to auto. HOWEVER, what speed are you attempting to run the memory at? Unless you OC the CPU you won't be able to go higher than 1066 MHz.
danja5485
I don't really care if i OC it, i just want it to be stable so i will use whatever works.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 14, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 14, 2009 With the CPU you have listed the fastest you can run the memory would be DDR1066 unless you over clock the CPU the fastest you can run the memory with Intel chipsets would be the CPU FSB.
