barryh
The dimm sockets on this board only have a retaining clip on one side. When I fit the fan on top of the modules it moves. Can you tell me how to get round this problem please as there is no instructions in the box. Thanks

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 14, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 14, 2009 Can you post a picture of the MB memory sockets? If I understand you correctly you may want to contact the MB maker to get the memory sockets replaced.
Wired
Check it out on NewEgg. It has clips on both sides, but only one side is movable, the other is static.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 14, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 14, 2009 WOW  Sorry about that but our Memory Fan would not be compatible with that MB.
Maasweb
I had the same problem. Change the board was no option for me, so I've made a plastic from 40 mm x 9 mm. The strip is 2,5 mm thin. Place this into the space where the second clip is normally. After that you can place the fan. @RAM Guy: for some customers it's to simple to say it doesn't work. Search for a solution! Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 26, 2009 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 26, 2009 Yes we are making a new bracket for that type of memory socket but I am not sure when it will be available.
Yellowbeard
Actually, the existing clips are adequate as long as you are not moving your case around. However, we are designing a new clip as we don't want to settle for only "adequate". Yellowbeard
NOTE: The bottom clip will actually sit in the slot on the memory module. I used a bit of electrical tape to insulate the clip.
